DeKalb County authorities have made an arrest in the death of a movie special effects technician who was found dead in his apartment this summer.
Delvin Gates, 17, is charged with murder in the death of his neighbor, Joseph Livolsi, according to warrants released this week. Livolsi, who lived near Gates on Eastwyck Circle off I-20, was found July 15 with gunshot wounds in his right rib cage, chest and head, police records show.
Police believe Livolsi, who worked on films including “Captain America: Civil War” and “Ant-Man,” was killed in the course of a burglary.

The victim’s cousin and another relative discovered the body in an upstairs hallway.
A police report said a speaker was seen out of place on the floor and an Xbox console had been removed from the TV stand.
One witness told police he had heard noise from the apartment about 11 p.m. and what later sounded like firecrackers. The witness said he looked out his window and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
Livolsi had been scheduled to start on a new project but never showed up for work, according to the report.
