Police say the crash happened at a dangerous intersection in Hall County.

A 6-year-old boy died in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Hall County.

Angel Juarez-Herrera was in a car with three other juveniles and an adult driver when it collided with a van at Poplar Springs Road at Sloan Mill Road shortly after 7 p.m., the Georgia State Patrol said.

The drivers of the two other vehicles and the three other juvenile passengers, ages 16, 8 and 5, were all transported to various hospitals. Their conditions were not made available Wednesday morning.

According to the state patrol, a car driven by Geovanna Juarez, 33, of Gainesville, was eastbound on Sloan Mill approaching the intersection of Poplar Springs when it entered the path of travel of a van driven by James Cripps, 41, of Gainesville, which was southbound on Poplar Springs.

The two vehicles collided and Juarez’ car rotated and traveled off the east shoulder of Poplar Springs. After impact, Cripps’ van crossed the center line into the northbound lane of Poplar Springs. The driver of the third vehicle, Ashley Sosebee, 26, of Gainesville, who was northbound on Poplar Springs, was hit by the van.
