Xpress bus services will change this summer

By Christopher Quinn
April 29, 2011

Xpress bus services to suburban counties are being reviewed, with new routes planned as well as cuts or combined routes where ridership is low.

There will be a series of public meetings from May 10 to 24 to explain proposed changes and take comments. The changes will take place in July.

For instance, new routes are proposed from Hamilton Mill in Gwinnett County, Conyers and Cumming to the Perimeter area, Woodstock's Route 491 may see some cuts, a new route is envisioned from Dacula to downtown, and Route 421 from Conyers to Midtown may lose some buses. All the proposed changes and the time and place for public meetings can be seen at http://www.xpressga.com/, then click on "Current News" under "Important Links" in the left-hand column.
