If you’re heading home to Douglas County, it may take a little longer this afternoon.

An accident involving a tractor-trailer continues to block some lanes of I-20 westbound in Douglas County.

The accident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. near the Midway Road exit, according to a Georgia State Patrol dispatcher. A tractor-trailer apparently left the interstate and ended up in a wooded area near I-20.

Two lanes near the Fairburn Road exit were reopened shortly before 3 p.m.

The accident is expected to be cleared shortly after 4 p.m.
