Worker struck by hit-and-run driver
A construction worker was injured Friday morning, June 1, 2012 when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on I-575 in Woodstock, police said. The incident happened about 9:45 a.m. in a construction zone at the new Ridgewalk Parkway interchange on I-575 southbound before Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said.
