Though the COVID-19 outbreak has shut down economic activity across the region, Forsyth County reports work continues to extend the Big Creek Greenway from Johnson Road to the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center.

Phase V of the Greenway project will bring intermittent lane closures, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., to Chamblee Gap Road near Johnson; the Spot Road Connector; Dr. Bramblett Road from the Spot Connector to Spot Road; and Spot Road from Dr. Bramblett to the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, according to a Forsyth Facebook posting.

So far, 9.6 miles of the Greenway are open in Forsyth. A separate trail segment runs through North Fulton County. Information: https://bit.ly/2PUXjR7
