Work on Peachtree City lake boat dock, park begins

Now that Lake Peachtree has been back to full pool for several weeks, Peachtree City is proceeding with projects in and around the water.

City Manager Jon Rorie told the City Council last Thursday that the new boat dock/viewing platform is being installed at Battery Way this week. City staff have removed some remaining floating vegetation by hand, and a mechanical harvester will do one more pass to collect debris.

Installation of new electrical lines will soon begin as part of the restoration and improvements at Drake Field.
