Construction continues in downtown Lawrenceville for the LCI Downtown Pedestrian Safety Project. The project will convert S. Perry Street and S. Clayton Street to two-way traffic, except for Clayton Street between Crogan and Pike, which will remain one-way. Intersections throughout the city will be widened and receive signal improvements, including pedestrian signals.

Current work includes installation of a concrete sidewalk along Perry Street, backfilling and dressing street shoulders, surveying and layout, Work is also underway to install electrical underground conduit, and storm drains along Perry Street and Nash Street.

Nighttime storm drain installation will result in lane closures 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. crossing Clayton Street at Church Street.

All work activities are subject to change without notice and are weather dependent.
