The Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department has announced a health and fitness fair as part of the AMPED in the Park fitness event Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater.

The fair begins immediately following the AMPED hour-long workout that begins at 8 a.m. at the amphitheater, 101 Arnold Mill Road.

The fair goes until 1 p.m., with demonstrations on the amphitheater stage and vendors, business and organizations on site to talk about fitness, health and wellness options in Woodstock, according to a parks department announcement. Children’s activities, games and inflatables also will be featured

“With the AMPED in the Park Fair, we will have as many fitness, health and wellness options as possible to empower people with the knowledge they need,” said amphitheater manager Jamey Snyder.

Workout participants should arrive 20 minutes early to register and prepare; they also are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a yoga/workout mat. Information: Jamey Snyder, jsnyder@woodstockga.gov
