Woodstock Road from Kellogg Creek Road to Victory Drive near Woodstock will be closed to through traffic for two weeks beginning Tuesday for major roadwork, Cherokee County officials say.

The closure, through Nov. 8, is to replace a drainage pipe and make grade changes as part of the reconstruction, according to an announcement by the county’s Roadway Capital Program Management Division. A posted detour utilizing Victory will be provided.

“Cherokee County appreciates residents’ patience during the detour period and requests that motorists obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of their neighbors and contractors’ personnel,” the announcement says.

Questions about the detour can be made to the Roadway Capital Program office, 678-493-6077.
