Woodstock police are advising motorists of anticipated traffic delays Thursday through Saturday near First Baptist Church of Woodstock, as six Cherokee County high schools hold graduation ceremonies there.

Heavy traffic can be expected on eastbound and westbound Ga. 92, as well as on Trickum and Neese roads, at least one hour prior to the start of each ceremony:

Thursday, May 30: Sequoyah High School, 4 p.m.; Cherokee High School, 8 p.m.

Friday, May 31: Etowah High School, 4 p.m.; Creekview High School, 8 p.m.

Saturday, June 1: Woodstock High School, 9 a.m.; River Ridge High School, 1 p.m.

While uniformed officers will be posted to assist, police recommend drivers heading to the graduations to expect travel delays; and others to avoid the area and use alternate routes, if possible. For information on the ceremonies: www.cherokeek12.net
