The Woodstock City Council has awarded a $45,775 contract to elevate Dobbs Road east of Main Street so the two streets meet at the same level.

The contract has Bartow Paving Co. Inc. raising Dobbs to the same level as Main for 20 feet east of the intersection, than tapering Dobbs down to its current grade at a point 100 feet east, according to a staff report to the council.

“(The) contract award includes asphalt milling, new asphalt and striping, but does not include (right of way) preparation and installation of new base material,” which will be done by city workers, staff said. The project is to be completed by July 26.
