Woodstock has announced the appointment of two, new, assistant city managers and the promotion of an employee to director of public works.

Rob Hogan, public works director since 2013, was named assistant city manager over public works, water and sewer; while Coty Thigpen, former city clerk in Sandy Springs, was named assistant city manager over administration, overseeing information technology, GIS/mapping services and human resources.

"The assistant city managers will perform high-level administrative, technical and professional duties while supervising all municipal employees either directly or through subordinate supervisors, and report to City Manager Jeff Moon serving as acting city manager in his absence as needed," according to a city announcement.

In related action, Jeremy Parker, Woodstock's public works field operation manager, was appointed director of public works to succeed Hogan. Parker has worked for the city in various positions since 1997. Information: https://bit.ly/36ogV5q
