The Woodstock City Council has awarded an $81,400 contract to add turn lanes to the intersection of Ridgewalk Parkway and Main Street.

Excellere Construction LLC submitted the lowest, responsive bid of seven received for the job, staff said in a report to the council.

The contractor will create dual left travel lanes from Ridgewalk to northbound Main, and from northbound Main to Ridgewalk, staff said. The contract also calls for a graded aggregate base, asphalt topping, concrete median, curbs and gutters, striping, grading and traffic control.

During construction, no lane closures will be permitted from 6-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. without prior approval by the city, according to the contract. All work is to be completed within 60 days of the notice to proceed.

The city, for its part, will provide for the design and installation of new traffic signal equipment.
