The Woodstock City Council again considers a controversial proposed billboard at its meeting Monday night.

David Tinsley and Bob Postiglione’s request to construct a large billboard on Interstate 575 at Exit 9 was denied by city staffers in January, because the structure would run afoul of city regulations restricting them from within 500 feet of single-family zoned or designated properties. The company is appealing the denial while seeking a variance from the 500-foot requirement. The city’s gotten extensive feedback, both pro and con.

The council will also consider an amendment to the city’s alcohol ordinance, allowing operators holding a valid license for on-premises consumption to serve booze within the confines of a sidewalk café.
