The Woodstock City Council has awarded an $89,876 contract for the resurfacing of Rope Mill Road as part of a city stormwater project.

Bartow Paving Co. Inc. submitted the lowest of three bids for the work, which calls for milling, base repairs, asphalt topping/paving, striping and traffic control for Rope Mill between Cardinal Drive and Angela Court.

This will be the final overlay and topping once a two-foot widening and stormwater work for Rope Mill are completed, officials said. The stormwater work is to start in the next six to 10 days and be completed in two to three weeks, with the paving to be done one lane at a time and completed by June 30.
