One person was taken into custody after a 38-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times at a home in DeKalb County on Sunday night, police said.

Officers found the woman inside a residence in the 800 block of Clubhouse Circle about 7:50 p.m., DeKalb police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer said. She was suffering from several stab wounds, and was taken to an area hospital. The injuries are not considered life-threatening, Spencer said.

A male was taken into custody at the scene. Police have not released his name or age.

The investigation is ongoing.
