A woman was killed early Saturday on I-75 in Cobb County when her vehicle hit the center guardrail, flipped and wound up on its roof, police said.
The driver was traveling north on I-75 in the exit lanes to Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw about 2:50 a.m., according to a statement by Cobb County police. The driver abruptly steered her vehicle to the left, crossing all northbound lanes and then striking the guardrail in the median.
The vehicle, a black 2002 Ford Expedition, then overturned and came to rest on its roof in the northbound lanes.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
