A 35-year-old woman jumped off of an I-75 overpass in southern Bartow County, but was alert when she landed.

"She doesn't know why she jumped," Bartow Sheriff Clark Millsap told the AJC. "No cars hit her. She was alert and combative to start with."

The woman, whose name has not been released, is being flown to Grady Memorial Hospital with possible head injuries, Millsap said.

All lanes of I-75 northbound near Hwy. 92 were blocked, according to GDOT. The highway reopened at about 5:15 p.m.

The incident happened at the Groovers Landing overpass, about a mile north of Exit 278, Glade Road.
