A 27-year-old woman was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting her boyfriend, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard’s office announced Friday.

Tacomsi Winters was found guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses for the death Dionte Bradley, 30.

Bradley was shot in the heart and chest at Winters’ home in East Point on Dec. 22, 2011.

Winters initially told police that she didn’t know how Bradley got into her Bell Avenue home or who shot him, but later admitted that Bradley was her boyfriend and she shot him, authorities said. Prosecutors suggested that a jealous Winters believed Bradley was seeing other women.

She was arrested two days after the shooting, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office website.
