The driver of an SUV that flipped several times in a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday on I-285 was killed on impact, Dunwoody police said Thursday.

An 18-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on I-285 when she crossed several lanes, flipped her vehicle and landed upside down near Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

Four other passengers were taken to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Dunwoody police spokesman Mark Stevens said.

“The initial investigation indicates that alcohol and speed were not a factor in the accident,” Stevens added.

The crash shortly after 8 p.m. trapped the driver and blocked several lanes for more than two hours, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The wreck was cleared about 10:15 p.m. after heavy delays.
