Emergency crews were called Monday morning to the aid of a woman who collapsed in front of the DeKalb County courthouse.

The woman's condition was unclear, but Decatur police Capt. Scott Richards said police and Emergency Medical Technicians with the Decatur Fire Department were dispatched to the area shortly before 9 a.m., in response to a "person down" call.

The woman was prone on the ground and motionless for about five minutes as medical crews attended to her.

Eventually, she was taken to a nearby hospital, authorities said.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is seeking more information.
