A former employee of an Atlanta nursing home is facing charges for allegedly stealing money from residents.

Keshorna Miller, who worked at the Parkview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Auburn Avenue, was indicted last week by a Fulton County grand jury, said Lauren Kane, spokeswoman for the Georgia Attorney General's Office.

Miller, whose job included overseeing patients' funds, is accused of stealing more than $5,000 between August 2009 and May 2010.

She is charged with one count of felony theft by taking, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, Kane said.
