A 26-year-old woman was arrested Sunday and charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a man in southwest Atlanta earlier this month.

Jeffrey Lamar Alexander died in the June 14 incident.

Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said officers dispatched to a home on Saville Street were told by the homeowner, Nouhoum Keita, that he’d met a woman “via an internet advertisement,” and the woman agreed to come to his home.

Alexander, an “associate” of the woman, later came to the home and Alexander was fatally injured during a struggle that ensued when he and the woman tried to rob Keita, according to Lyon.

Sunday, detectives obtained warrants charging Bridgette D.Trent with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and felony murder. She was arrested and taken to the Fulton County Jail, Lyon said.
