A woman in the waiting room of DeKalb Medical Center early Wednesday told police she woke up to find a stranger's hand in her pants.

The woman, whose name was not released, immediately screamed at the man and then blocked the door to prevent him from leaving, according to the police report obtained by the AJC. A deputy nearby heard the woman's screams and detained the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Vincent Price.

Price, of Decatur, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and sexual battery, both misdemeanors.

A hospital spokeswoman said neither Price nor the victim were employed by the hospital. The victim declined treatment from medical personnel at the hospital, according to Tori Vogt, hospital spokeswoman.

"We are reviewing our security practices to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and employees," Vogt said in a statement to Channel 2 Action News.

Price has an extensive criminal history, including four prior sentences in state prison on robbery and shoplifting convictions, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
