After hitting a teenage cyclist on a Snellville road, a driver checked her car for damage but ignored the injured 15-year-old before driving off, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Myles Bonn was riding his bike home from Brookwood High School on Oct. 6 when he was hit by a car, he told Channel 2. The car, described as a gray or blue SUV or van, parked in a nearby driveway and a woman exited to inspect the damage. The female driver ignored Bonn, injured on the side of the road, said Sam Mauldin, a friend of Bonn’s and a witness to the accident.

The driver did not call 911 or check on Bonn before leaving the scene. Bonn suffered a broken elbow and a large gash on his forehead that required multiple staples, Channel 2 reported. He also has severe road rash.

“You kind of left me like a dog in the street,” Bonn said when asked if he had a message for the driver.

Anyone who may know the identity of the driver can contact Gwinnett County police at 770-513-5300.
