UPDATE, 10:30 a.m.: Dozens more flights in and out of Palm Beach International Airport have been canceled or delayed, according to the airport's website.

Now as many as 25 planes flying into the West Palm airport are behind schedule. Seventeen flights out of the airport are delayed or canceled, as well.

ORIGINAL POST: More than two dozens flights in and out of Palm Beach International Airport already have been delayed or canceled Wednesday morning, likely due to the winter storm dumping snow in Texas and freezing Florida's Panhandle.

By 7:30 a.m. seven flights out of the West Palm airport had been delayed and another three had been canceled, according to the airport's website. Those flights were heading as far north as Portland, Maine, and as nearby as Atlanta.

Travelers heading south from Boston, Baltimore, Charlotte and Chicago already are running in to travel troubles and may experience more as the storm continues to leave snow and ice through Wednesday on the South and Northeast.

Passengers are encouraged to contact their airlines before heading to an airport.
