Smyrna city officials will hold a public meeting about the Windy Hill Road SPLOST Project from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 17 in the large gym, Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle SE. Elected officials, city staff and representatives from CROY Engineering will explain the project, discuss timelines and answer questions.

Funding will come from the special purpose local option sales tax.

This project will reach along Windy Hill Road from South Cobb Drive to Atlanta Road. The cost estimate is $29.25 million, according to Don Hicks of Croy Engineering when giving an update to Mayor Max Bacon and the City Council during the Feb. 19 pre-council meeting.

Construction will begin in the early fall and be completed 30 months later about the spring of 2021.
