Windy Hill Road Corridor improvements this week will involve periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday on Windy Hill Road between Powers Ferry Road and Spectrum Circle.

CMES, Inc. of Norcross, the low-bidding contractor for the first three of five projects at nearly $15.2 million set for completion by October 2016, will place curb, gutter, medians and sidewalk.

Between Circle 75 and Cobb Parkway, the contractor will place storm drain and grading for walls.

Also, utility services will be relocated at both sites.

Estimated to cost $48 million, this five-part major transportation improvement project by Cobb Department of Transportation will improve safety and mobility along a nearly 2-mile section of Windy Hill Road with total completion expected by late 2016 or early 2017.

Throughout the project, Construction Ambassador David Baggett will be located at 2470 Windy Hill Road, Suite 126 to provide project updates, share information and address project concerns.

Baggett may be contacted by email at David.Baggett@CobbCounty.org or called at 678-722-1740.
