Wile y Bridge Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday at Ga. 92 in southeast Cherokee County.

The closure, near Mountain Park, is for construction by Loyd Development to improve sight distance for the road, according to an announcement by Cherokee County. The work is expected to run through Friday, April 3. A detour will be posted utilizing Ga. 92 and West Wylie Bridge Road.

"Cherokee County appreciates the public's patience during the detour period and requests that motorists obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of all contractors' personnel," the county said. Information: https://bit.ly/2UEyJph
