Construction activity for the I-85 Widening Project will continue to require lane closures along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
Asphalt paving will require single lane closures along I-85 southbound from S.R. 211 in Barrow County to Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly through Thursday, June 20. Work continues 9 p.m. Friday, June 21 to 7 a.m. Saturday morning and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday, June 23.
Traffic pacing activity will also occur nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. each morning southbound from S.R. 211 to Hamilton Mill Road.
The Jesse Cronic Road Bridge over I-85 in Jackson County has closed and will remain impassable until Dec. 14, for bridge reconstruction. Detour routes are clearly marked for local drivers.
