Construction activity for the I-85 Widening project will require lane closures in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties this week.
Asphalt paving and bridge work on I-85 will result in single-lane closures in both directions between State Route 211 in Barrow and State Route 53 in Jackson between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly through April 25, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. April 26, and from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. April 27 and 28.
Single-lane closures will also slow drivers along I-85 northbound from Hamilton Mill Road to Spout Springs Road in Gwinnett and southbound from S.R. 211 to Spout Springs Road between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly through April 25, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. April 26, and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. April 27 and 28.
Traffic pacing activity will also occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. in each direction through Saturday night. Pacing activities will extend northbound from Hamilton Mill Road to S.R. 53 and southbound from S.R. 53 to Spout Springs Road.
