West Cobb Regional Library will be closed for a renovation project from Oct. 1 through Nov. 4 with reopening planned for Nov. 5.

The West Cobb renovation includes new paint and carpet for the facility at 1750 Dennis Kemp Lane in Kennesaw that opened in May 2002, according to a county statement.

This temporary closure will coincide with the return of Sunday hours, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Oct. 7 at the larger regional Cobb County libraries, including the Mountain View and South Cobb libraries.

Sunday hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Switzer Library in downtown Marietta started Sept. 9.

To serve the West Cobb region during the renovation project, other nearby libraries include Kemp Memorial Library, 4029 Due West Road NW, Marietta; Acworth Library, 4569 Dallas St., Acworth and Kennesaw Library, 2250 Lewis St., Kennesaw.

Cobb Associate Director of Library Services Jonathan McKeown said, “Your public libraries offer events and activities in person; and you can connect any time with the library’s digital resources – eBooks, streaming videos, databases on business, science, history and much more.”
