The Red Clay Room in Doraville provides a different kind of sauna, combining clay, peat and hot springs mineral water relaxes muscles, joints and detoxifies the skin.

Sauna operators say the sleeping room, with temperatures at 100 degrees, helps boost metabolism and recover from fatigue.

The Red Clay Room considers itself a different kind of sauna. At 4,000 square feet, the facility boasts an ice room, which keeps a constant temperature of 40 degrees, a charcoal room, a sleeping room and, of course, a red clay room.

The sauna's owners say red clay marbles are effective in treating inflammation, abscess and fever. They also helps the skin replenish its natural moisture levels and hydration.

Young Lee, 45, left, sleeps in the tub filled with red clay marbles. She typically sleeps in the tub, set for 150 degrees, for about 1/2 hour.

The business owners say a red clay sauna contains a high quantity of oxygen and the heated clay helps to remove toxins from the body and reproduce younger skin.
