Weekend road closure will gum up traffic on Buford Highway in Suwanee

Gwinnett DOT will close north and southbound lanes of Buford Highway this weekend between Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Westbrook Road, weather permitting. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and re-open by 7 p.m. Saturday. This closure is needed to allow crews to replace a section of pavement damaged by a water main break last month.

Contractors for the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources will be conducting the repairs in coordination with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
