Gwinnett DOT has postponed the Jimmy Carter Boulevard bridge closure at Interstate 85, originally scheduled for this weekend, due to the rainy forecast. The crossover to the diverging diamond interchange requires dry conditions so construction can be completed before Monday morning rush hour.

The closure has been rescheduled for next weekend, weather permitting. The bridge will close at 9 p.m. March 27 and reopen at 5 a.m. March 30. Cars will still be able to turn right onto and off I-85. Additional signage and police officers will be onsite for the initial period while drivers familiarize themselves with the new traffic pattern.
