A drizzle or a storm doesn't have to mean staying in and staring at your bedroom walls.

In DeKalb, there are plenty of indoor attractions to keep you entertained. Don't let the rain keep you from your next adventure.

Get your waffle (history) fix at the Waffle House Museum. 2719 East College Ave, Decatur. http://www.wafflehouse.com/waffle-house-museum/

Before or after devouring a tasty batch of waffles at one of the chain's many DeKalb locations, pay a visit to the place it all began. The museum is the site of the very first Waffle House restaurant, which opened back in 1955 and houses memorabilia from the past 60 years.

Ok, the museum's Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium is currently under construction this August and is getting its new projection system. But when it reopens, it's a must-visit. The new technology, according to fernbank.edu, will create a "stunning immersive environment" for epic shows on black holes, storms and so much more.

Check off your grocery shopping at Your DeKalb Farmer's Market. 3000 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur. http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/

Buying groceries isn't typically an adventure we'd rave about, but a visit to Your DeKalb Farmer's Market with some leisure time can be a fun and tasty experience. The incredibly large indoor market may offer some interesting demonstrations and plenty of tastings.

Go back in time and explore a different culture at the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Tickets range from free admission to $8. 57. 1 South Kilgo Circle  NE, Atlanta. http://www.carlos.emory.edu/

Use your rainy day to learn something new. The museum at Emory University's Atlanta campus in Druid Hills is home to collections dating back to 1876. You'll find a variety of  artifacts from the ancient Americas, Africa, Rome, Asia and everywhere in between.

Drink up at Three Taverns Brewery. $14 tastings tour. 121 New St, Decatur. http://www.threetavernsbrewery.com

Raise a glass at this local favorite spot to drown out some of that pitter patter. Three Taverns' tasting room was named the "Best Brewery Tour" by Atlanta Magazine in December 14 and even earned a spot on Eater National's list of "23 Hottest Craft Beer spots in America Right Now" in December 2013.

Indoor rock climbing at Wall Crawler Rock Club for the "vertically inclined." $6-$30 day passes, depending on day and specials. 1522 DeKalb Ave NE, Atlanta. http://www.wallcrawlerclimbing.com
