Waterbuck born at Zoo Atlanta
A baby waterbuck is the newest arrival at Zoo Atlanta. Earlier this week, Kokopelli, a 10-year-old waterbuck gave birth to her seventh calf, which appears to be healthy and nursing normally. The animals are native to southeastern sub-Saharan Africa and are among the world’s largest antelope species.
