A Boys & Girls Club staffer was fired after cellphone video captured a bus “excessively speeding” on I-85 in Coweta County with children on board, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“We are deeply alarmed and concerned to learn of this incident,” the Boys & Girls Club said in a statement. “We have identified the staff member who was driving and they will be terminated.”

Shawn Zwilling was on I-85 Tuesday afternoon when he saw the bus speeding, pulled out his cellphone and pressed record, Channel 2 reported.

"I was shocked, mostly, when I realized there was kids on the bus," he said.

He told Channel 2 he followed the bus about 20 miles and stopped when it topped 90 mph and merged onto I-285.

The bus, which belongs to the A.W. “Tony” Matthews Club in Cobb County, was returning from a field trip at the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, the Boys & Girls Club said.

“We are taking steps to address this incident and will revise internal practices accordingly,” officials said.
