After weeks of dialed-back service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waste Management will resume normal service on Monday, the city of Woodstock said.

"This means they will resume bulk collection, excess household trash and flattened cardboard boxes placed next to the trash cart, and bagged yard waste," according to a Woodstock announcement.

In March, Waste Management said it had significantly reduced its field work force and would concentrate on essential services of municipal solid waste collection and disposal. It postponed bulk collections of items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances and anything else that didn’t fit in the cart.

The trash hauler said at the time the services would resume when the declarations of emergency and social distancing recommendations eased and the company returned to its pre-pandemic workforce levels. Information: https://bit.ly/35XRGZl
