Waste Management has notified residents of Woodstock, Waleska and other cities that it is dialing back non-essential services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company said it has significantly reduced its field work force and is concentrating on essential services of municipal solid waste collection and disposal.

Beginning Monday, Waste Management will postpone bulk collections of such items as furniture, mattresses and appliances; spring and bulk clean-ups involving curbside services; yard waste collection; and any waste left outside the cart.

The services will resume, the trash hauler said, when the declarations of emergency and social-distancing recommendations have eased and the company returns to its pre-pandemic workforce levels. Information: https://bit.ly/2ycl3u6
