Forest Park firefighters early Thursday doused a fire burning inside a warehouse-type building near I-285.

Deputy Chief Matt Jackson told the AJC that the fire call came in about 5:15 a.m., and when crews arrived, they found a “large amount” of fire coming through the roof of the building, which is over 100 yards long.

Jackson said the building on Ruskin Drive off Jonesboro Road formerly housed a trucking company, but was currently home to Liberty Sales. One employee was treated at the scene for an unspecified injury, Jackson said.

He said firefighters from Morrow assisted Forest Park crews in extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, Jackson said.
