Officials with the Henry County Emergency Management Agency announced Dec. 30 that they are looking for volunteers to take part in the county’s Community Emergency Response Team.

The county will be offering a free course to help them be qualified to serve. The eight-week course begins Jan. 14 and will be held 6:30 to 9 p.m.each Tuesday through March 3. Topics to be covered include disaster preparedness; medical operations; light search and rescue operations; disaster psychology; team organization; basic fire suppression; and terrorism awareness.
