A cemetery doesn’t seem like a common place for bears to be found, but a cub was found roaming one in Roswell on Monday.

Perhaps it liked the smell of the flowers placed next to the headstones.

A Roswell police officer was able to capture a short video of a small black bear cub frolicking between a row of graves at the Green Lawn Cemetery. Police say a bear was also spotted near the Wal-Mart on Mansell Road on Monday, too.

The bear ran off after it was spotted by an officer, said Lisa Holland, a Roswell police spokeswoman. Roswell dispatchers called the Department of Natural Resources, but they aren’t sure if DNR came to the scene.

Roswell police are reminding residents that bears are looking for food and there are some precautions you should take if you see one. Roswell police are pointing residents to Georgia Wildlife's website for more information.
