Veterans rally planned in Smyrna

Smyrna councilman Wade Lnenicka and Smyrna American Legion Post 160 will hold a rally noon Saturday to urge the Veterans Administration to use a former hospital for veterans care. The rally will be on the sidewalk in front of the Emory-Adventist Hospital, 3949 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna. Congress passed a bill in July to give veterans better access to medical care, including $6.4 million to relocate a veterans medical clinic in Austell to a larger facility tentatively set for North Cobb.
