No injuries were reported in a six-vehicle wreck involving a tractor-trailer on Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw police said Thursday afternoon.

But northbound and southbound lanes were affected by the investigation in the area of Ellison Lakes Drive, according to Officer Scott Luther. Traffic jams were reported in both directions on Cobb Parkway, Luther said.

Witnesses said the driver of a tractor-trailer may have had a medical emergency that caused the crash.

The driver, whose name was not released, was stopped on the southbound side of the highway when the tractor-trailer started moving forward and hit cars, Luther said. The tractor-trailer then crossed over the northbound lanes and struck more vehicles, according to police.

The tractor-trailer driver and others appeared to be uninjured at the scene of the wreck, Luther said.
