Union City woman's body found in S. Fulton lake
The woman whose body was found floating in a south Fulton County lake Monday afternoon has been identified as Mary Senior, 60, of Union City.
People fishing in a lake near Oakley Industrial Boulevard and Jonesboro Road thought they saw a body and called 911 around 5 p.m., Fulton County police Detective Melissa Parker told the AJC. The lake is near the entrance to the Oakley Township subdivision.
Authorities believe the woman was in the water for no more than a few hours, Parker said. Witnesses told police that they saw her walking in the area earlier in the day.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office planned to conduct an autopsy Tuesday to determine how Senior died.
