Union City has temporarily closed the intersection of Alexander Avenue and Lakeside Drive for repairs following a water main break.
The work began April 28 and is scheduled to be complete by May 5, the city said.
To bypass the area, the city advises motorists heading northbound on Dixie Lake Road and Lakeside Drive toward Alexander Avenue use Longino Drive or Stonewall Drive off Highpoint Road. Motorists traveling southbound on Lakeside Drive towards Alexander Avenue should take Stonewall Drive towards Highpoint Road, the city said.
Union City also encourages motorists to use their favorite wayfinding app to help them navigate to their destinations.
