Educators and leadership from McCiarin Success Academy recently met College Park City Manager Terence Moore

and Keith James, director of recreation for the city to discuss the possibility of replacing the faded mural located on the College Street side of the facility. The school presented a proposal with design specifications, goals for student enrichment and a budget of $580.

The city requested a draft depiction of what the final product will look like, well in advance of work being performed as noted. Arrangements are also being made for a March 16 workshop meeting to include a presentation regarding preliminary tasks, site preparation (applicable scraping and pressure washing activities), as well as consensus on the theme of the final rendering.
