Union City officials remind residents that it’s spring cleaning time. The annual city event takes place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 18 and 19 at the Public Services Building, 6524 Landrum Lane.

Union City residential sanitation customers can bring unwanted household items to Public Services and dispose of them for free. No hazardous materials (wet paint, chemicals, fuel, etc.) are allowed. There is a limit of four tires per household for disposal. Tree limbs can be no larger than four inches in diameter. All leaves must be bagged.

Building materials will be accepted. Please bring picture ID for residency verification.
